4th Annual Cowbelles & Friends Brant Family Benefit Set for August 7

Community Rallying for the Brant Family of Flagler

HUGO, CO – The Eastern Plains Cowbelles invite the community to attend the 4th Annual Cowbelles & Friends Brant Family Benefit on Thursday, August 7, 2025, beginning at 5:00 p.m. at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds in Hugo, Colorado. The event features a Silent Auction during the Stockmen’s Steak Fry Dinner, with a Live Auction to follow.

All proceeds will go toward supporting the Brant family of Flagler, who continue to face an unimaginable medical journey with their infant son, Raymond.

Last year’s Cowbelles & Friends Benefit raised over $20,000, thanks to the generosity of our local communities. With your continued support, we hope to surpass that impact this year for the Brant family.

In early May 2024, Dylan and Lauren Brant were thrilled to learn they were expecting. That joy was soon met with worry as Lauren experienced a vanishing twin, subchorionic hematoma, and serious placental complications—classifying the pregnancy as high-risk.

On September 14, her water broke at just 24 weeks. After weeks of hospitalization, baby Raymond was born on October 20 at only 1.5 pounds and 12 inches long. Since then, he has endured 245 days and counting in the hospital, surviving eight surgeries, cardiac arrest, emergency ECMO surgery, lung collapses, and more. He now lives with a trach and G-tube and was recently diagnosed with severe bronchomalacia, a condition that causes his airways to collapse when he cries or bears down.

Through every battle, Raymond’s smile and spirit shine. His resilience has become a beacon of strength to all who know his story.

How to Help

The Cowbelles are seeking donations of new and homemade items for both the Silent and Live Auctions. Every contribution—big or small—makes a meaningful difference for the Brant family.
